Our Radiant Bride

MaddiecropThis is the present I gave my mom for Christmas. I had it printed on a big 24x36 canvas. She loves it!!!
**I took this photo of my niece Madeline years ago, planning to incorporate it into her future "wedding video" someday. As you all know, Madeline's life on earth ended in April of 2007.
The day I took this picture Madeline and I had a blast! I dressed her up in my mother's wedding dress and we laughed as I had her attempt to say her wedding vows before a packed house of Barbies, Strawberry Shortcake Dolls, GI Joe, etc... One day I came across the picture and just sat down in my office and looked at it for a long time. I started thinking about how innocent and pure she was. A true example of what we are to strive to be as the body of Christ. I emailed the photo to a friend of mine (through the video industry) Lance Gray who is a photoshop master, and shared with him my idea for the photo in the future. He has experienced tragic loss within his family, so we share a common bond in that respect. He also has a daughter about the age of our Maddie, so the picture really touched his heart. A few weeks later he emailed me the photo & he had transformed it into the artistic representation that I had envisioned. It's a priceless treasure to me and to my family & I am so thankful that he shared his talent with us in such a special way. Thanks Lance!!!

Be Back 2 Blogging-2009

I can't tell you how humbling it is to know that so many people actually check in to read my random ramblings. I haven't posted anything lately, but plan to get back into regular blogging by Feb of 2009. Right now I'm catching up on editing all the fabulous videos from 2008. I'm really wanting to revamp my website & make it more reflective of me and my company at this point in my life. So with that being said...Happy Holidays & Much Love, KimBebacksoon

Party Like...

Yesterday Grant spent the afternoon at the birthday party of one of his female classmates. In an attempt to "Party Like a Rock Star" Grant sported a super cool Liberty Spikes Mohawk. And don't be fooled by the hardcore facade, behind it all stood a little boy pumped with anticipation for his friend to discover the Strawberry Shortcake Doll beneath the wrapping of the package carried in his tiny, albeit spiked arms.Img_3848_7

Thanks Mel!

It's such a treat when we get the opportunity to work with Melanie-Melanie Mauer Photography. She's so upbeat and positive! Here's a picture from a wedding we worked together in September of 2007. I love the depth-of-field and the contrast of this shot. Thanks Mel!Meandden

Elizabeth & Rick

Unquestionably, Elizabeth enjoyed her wedding day to the fullest! Her larger-than-life personality permeated through the whole day- right down to the very minute of details. To go along with the 7/7/7 theme each guest was given a scratch-off lottery ticket and dinner menu with attached tag that read, "We hope you feel as lucky as we do today!" As for Rick and Elizabeth luck has nothing to do with it. These two were simply made for each other!!
*Here's a picture of me and Elizabeth before her wedding. I just love this girl I tell you!Kimeliz

I Heart NY!

As cliche as it may be to say...I love NY! We took a ladies trip (me, mom, Jen, and Missy) to visit my cousin Suzanne who lives in Manhattan. She was so gracious and accommodating-a real trooper leading our Clampett clan around NYC. We found Saks Fifth Avenue quite intriguing. Our eyes probably looked like saucers as we combed the fine jewelry section.
On a recent trip to Gulf Shores Missy and I became quite the crab hunters, so when I spotted this gaudy crab brooch I elbowed her and whispered...
"When I win the lottery, this baby is as good as yours!".
She looked down at the $20,000 plus price tag and audibly says "If you bought me that with your lottery money, I would kill you!".
Lottery was enough said. Instantly the sales lady sprung to action. "Did you hit the lotto?" she inquired. Trying to hold in my giggles I replied "not yet?".
She pulls the crab from the case and shows me how if you turn it a certain way it changes colors.
"Wow, sort of like one of those mood rings!" I quipped.
Undeterred she proceeds to tell me how I can save a certain % if I apply for a store credit card.
It wasn't like 99% so the answer was still no.
Next we head upstairs to women's clothing. My eye is instantly drawn to two super cool chairs. Jennifer and I plop down in them and Missy starts digging for her camera.
Now there was this fellow in this boutique section of the store with us. He was one of two things...the best dressed security guard I've ever seen or a particularly astute sales clerk who "arms folded across his chest" surmised that he needn't bother. I'm guessing it was the latter.
In an attempt to get us both in the photo, Missy backs up shoving a rack full of extemely expensive clothes into the wall. We start laughing and the it's obvious that the poor "sales-guard" is trying to act like he didn't just see that!
Later we are having dinner and my cousin is looking at the pictures on the digital camera and starts laughing because you can actually see Missy in the photo backing into the clothes. The picture was snapped after we told her to watch out for the clothes, so she's not nested down in them like she had been but still, It's priceless!
We did a lot of sight seeing. We also went to see Grease on Broadway. It was Awesome!!

Shot Who??

My boys started school this week. Grant's school starts at 7:45...what's that?? I didn't even realize there were two 7:45's in a running day. So, I find myself wandering around Wild Oats looking for a magic potion to help me adjust my sleeping patterns. It just so happens that one of my cousins works there (lucky 4 me) and waves me over to her counter with the solution to my lethargy. She starts hacking off a handful of what appears to be grass and starts preaching on the benefits of a good old shot of wheatgrass. I'm so determined to turn around this nocturnal nature of mine, I'm game to try anything! We're standing face to face with nothing between us but the counter, a shot of freekishly green liquid, and another shot of apple juice to chase it with. Are you kidding me?? Where's the DJ? Any moment I'm expecting Jamie Kennedy or Ashton Kutcher to come leaping to my rescue.
"Kill it!", she urges.
With one swift movement I grab the little glass of "shrek urine" and throw it back! Suddenly I felt as if I'd fallen off a riding mower, got my shoe hung, and was being drug face down across the lawn.
"How do you feel?", she asks.
"Oh, I'm awake, that's for sure!", I reply.

Myrtle Beach

I'm back home after a week of vacationing in Myrtle Beach at the Coral Beach Resort. A little R&R before heading to Louisville this weekend to film a wedding at Southeast Christian Church. Grant loved the ocean, but towards the end of our vacation started missing his toys. I hope everyone is having a nice summer!
