I created "Homesick" to celebrate the life and memory of my beloved sister Melanie and her three beautiful children: Madeline, David, and Charlotte. Words cannot describe the light they were to this world, but the video clips I've posted can give you a glimpse into their lives. The lives I was so blessed to be a part of! "Homesick" by Mercyme was one of the songs played at their funeral and it's exactly what we are all feeling. Remember that feeling when you were a kid, when you'd go to camp or spend the night with a friend and come nightfall miss your family so bad you couldn't stand it? Yes, that's the feeling. I just wish I could call my mom, have her come pick me up in our old station wagon, take me home, and have us all together again.
