I sat with my grandmother Moore this morning & we shared a pot of coffee. She is 90 years old now. It's so sad to see how cruel time can be to our earthly bodies. We laughed as she shared stories of her past. She was giving me the history of her old house that I will soon be living in & running a photography studio out of. Before she lived there the queen of the house was her Aunt Mag. Aunt Mag could have given my spunky little self a run for it's money any day of the week. She secured & buried 4 different husbands in her lifetime. Mag's family didn't care much for her 4th husband & paid him to leave her. He moved away & then they decided he wasn't so bad after all & went & found him & paid him to come back. L the frig out Loud! That's the stuff movies are made of my friends:) My grandmother sighed & with a far off look in her eye said "yes, Mag sure did love the fellas". Gone are the days when my grandmother could go out to dinner with us or out to Ham Days or to church. It's only a matter of time until we have to say goodbye to her in this lifetime. Her shaky little hands tell me that I must cherish every cup of coffee I'm given with her. Soaking up every precious memory she shares between sips.
